The PIERRE Pro Magnetic sensor embedded for windows is recessed into the frame and the opening leaf so that nothing is visible when the window is shut — the alternative to a surface contact where appearance matters or where a surface unit would be knocked.

It is a magnetic reed switch with a normally-closed contact, so the circuit opens when the window opens and a broken cable reads as an alarm rather than as silence.

The detection gap is 20-35 mm, which allows for a little movement in the frame without false alarms. It runs from 12 V DC at up to 0.5 A and wires back to a PIERRE controller input or an alarm panel zone. The housing is ABS in white with concealed screw fixings, operating from -20 °C to +80 °C.
